ICT as a tool for social reform and peace advocacy

 Technology has been evolving drastically these past few years, and it will evolve more in the coming years. The evolution of technology has helped us in so many ways, like in our education, in our jobs and in our daily lives. A big example is the instances in our daily lives, many human being in our current generation has been dependent to technology, whenever we find something difficult in our task the first thing we ask for help is technology.

It has been a very big tool for many social reform acts in our current lives. Us, a citizen of this current generation, have observed many acts of social reform. People have been using social media to express their opinions, angers and feedbacks towards some culture, their community and most especially our society. For an instance, here in the Philippines. The past 2022 election have been controversial for all supporters of the candidates, especially those of Marcos and Leni. Their supporters threw each other's hates in social media, in facebook, in instagram, most especially in twitter where most of the debates, the trashtalks etc... happens.

Peace advocacy has been a thing even in the past generations, like the EDSA people power revolution. But today peace advocacy can be done easily with the help of the evolution of technology. In the past, peace advocacy is done through mass gathering of people, protesting to gain attention and hope to make changes. Today peace advocacy can be done through online platforms, like the "Russia and Ukraine" war, where many people have expressed their anger and protested against the russia through social media. Nowadays, social media is powerful enough to crumble an empire. 

Overall technology have changed and influenced many things, like how it made peace advocacy and social reform acts easier for people. If you love to revolutionize against the law, technology has made it more convenient for you.
